The 2004 growing season was an ideal season for growing wine grapes at Rookery.
Mild temperatures with little Autumn rain.

TASTING NOTES

Aroma; Ripe, fresh primary fruit nose. Some subtle oak notes. Clean. Hints of smoke, tar and blackberry.
Palate; Soft supple generous palate with fine tannin finish.
Assessment; An excellent wine with appealing fruit, supple palate and gentle drying tannins.
Serve; Accompany with rosemary flavoured roast lamb or tarragon lemon chicken, followed by wild berries and vanilla icecream.
