  • The 2012 vintage at Rookery was almost perfect, with mild cool conditions which let the fruit ripen very slowly, leaving the berries with strong flavours & wonderful aromas. Grape Variety; 100%  Sangiovese (BOTTLE  FERMENTED) “Methode Traditionelle” Zone; Fleurieu Region; Kangaroo Island Analysis; Alcohol 13% PH 3.35 T/A 7.3 Approx 16 -18 g/l Colour; Cherry Red/Purple Winemaking; Wine rested on yeast lees in bottle for 12 mths. “Bottle fermented in this bottle.”
  • The 2013 season saw the beginning of a perfect season for ripening of the fruit at Rookery. The weather then became hot for a period of time bringing the harvest forward with an earlier than usual ripening time.  The fruit was of good size and flavour. Grape variety; 70% Sangiovese & 30% Chardonnay Zone; Fleurieu Region; Kangaroo Island Analysis; Alcohol 12.5 PH 3.25 T/A 7.5 Colour; Salmon with a touch of orange Winemaking; Crushed & pressed as soon as possible.
